Join Smart Start for Resilience Week, starting November 18th!
This multi-platform campaign is supported by organizational and institutional partners across the state and is designed to achieve the following impact goals: (1) build the awareness of ACEs; (2) increase knowledge of trauma informed education; (3) share resources for building greater resilience; and (4) amplify support for ongoing action and advocacy in areas of childhood trauma and toxic stress.
RESILIENCE will be broadcast on November 19th, 8pm EDT on UNC-TV, followed by a Statewide Twitter Townhall®, from 9-10 pm EDT, where the public can tweet their comments and questions using #ResilienceWeek to receive answers from a panel of trauma-informed experts.
The film has a powerful message about the importance of resilience in preventing and healing from trauma and ACEs. This is an important screening; however, we also recognize the risk that individuals may feel triggered or be left with an incomplete understanding of ACEs and resilience if support is not in place.
