NCPC Appoints Lisa Rash as New Chief Financial Officer

Lisa Rash HeadshotThe North Carolina Partnership for Children (NCPC), the organization that leads Smart Start across the state, announced Lisa Rash as its Chief Financial Officer. Lisa will lead the finance department and the fiscal consulting and contracts department. She will oversee NCPC’s budget, fiscal consulting and contracting, quality assurance, accounting, grants, and purchasing.  

“Lisa has strong experience in both finance and accounting, and she is committed to aligning her skills with the mission of helping North Carolina’s children and families. Lisa has ably led our Finance Department for more than two years, and I am excited to see her impact in her new role,” said Amy Cubbage, president of NCPC.  

Lisa started her career in public accounting, performing audits in a variety of industries before working in Charlotte for a decade for banking and private organizations. She was born and raised in North Carolina, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting a from Appalachian State University. Lisa is also a NC Certified Public Accountant and has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.  

Before coming to NCPC, Lisa worked as the Chief Financial Officer at the Raleigh Rescue Mission, which serves those experiencing homelessness in Raleigh. From her role there, she discovered her calling to help North Carolina’s children and families.  

Lisa is married and has one son. She is an avid gym goer and enjoys traveling and cheering on her son at his sporting events.
