NC Child Fatality Task Force Taking Applications

The North Carolina Child Fatality Task Force (CFTF)is introducing a new process for individuals and organizations to propose issues for the Task Force’s attention.

“The goal is to assure that as many people as possible can provide input to strategies to reduce child death and improve child wellbeing while also assuring that issues coming before the CFTF are ripe for consideration,” Elizabeth Hudgins, Executive Director of the Child Fatality Task Force wrote in an email announcing the change.

The application is now available on-line. The deadline for an issue to be considered for the upcoming legislative session is September 17, 2012.

The new process will be discussed in more detail at the next Child Fatality Task Force meeting on August 27, 2012 in room 1027 of the Legislative Building in Raleigh. You may also listen via phone by calling 919-831-4296.
