Stephanie's Story

Building Blocks participated in Preventing Obesity by Design (POD), a project aimed at preventing childhood obesity in very young children. POD enhances outdoor spaces at child care centers and trains teachers on how to incorporate more physical activity and nutrition in early education programs. The project is a partnership between Smart Start and the Natural Learning Initiative with funding from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation.
