Smart Start Celebrates 25 Years and Statewide Rollout of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Evening to include special presentation and performance by Dolly Parton
Raleigh, NC — During the 2017 legislative session, North Carolina state lawmakers included $3.5 million in the first year of the budget and $7 million in the second year for the Smart Start network to offer free books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to children across the state.
On March 2, 2019, Dolly Parton is coming to Raleigh, NC to be a part of Smart Start’s 25th Anniversary Gala and celebrate the rollout of her program statewide.
