NC Tri-Share is a statewide public-private partnership that enhances child care for families, employers, and providers through a three-way cost split.
NC Tri-Share divides the cost equally among three parties:
- Employers: Employers contribute as part of an employee benefit, attracting and retaining talent while supporting working families.
- Families: Families pay a fraction of the actual cost of child care.
- The State of NC: The State helps to increase child care access for working families statewide.
NC Tri-Share is administered by NCPC and the Smart Start Network across all North Carolina counties.
