Your Voice, Your Power: A Toolkit for Family Leaders to Make Change

Family leaders are change makers. A family leader is someone who uses their voice and shares their ideas and perspective to influence decision making about programs, policies, and other decisions that affect families and communities. They take part in implementing programs and activities and provide feedback on how these could be done better. Systems work better when they involve families in the beginning instead of at the end of system development. Family leaders assist with collecting and analyzing data and participate in strategic planning for programs, organizations, and their communities.

Smart Start and MomsRising partnered together to create Your Voice, Your Power: A Toolkit for Family Leaders to Make Change.

This toolkit outlines;

  • What being a family leader means
  • The key need for family leaders within early childhood
  • How to become a family leader
