Jennifer's Story
“I’m a lead teacher in the 4-year old room at McGill Child Development Center. I wanted to go back to school to study early education, but knew that time and money would be a challenge. But, the Smart Start Professional Development Incentives (PDI) program made it possible. Through PDI I was able to earn my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and complete my Birth to Kindergarten Licensure.
It feels like my hard work is paying off! I feel like I have grown as a teacher and like somebody appreciates me! I don’t know what teachers would do without this program.“
