Would the funds be used towards improvements to the outdoor environments as well as nutrition initiatives?

Yes.  The full Shape NC model will be implemented though this RFA which includes the three core initiatives: Go NAP SACC (all content areas), Be Active Kids and Preventing Obesity by Design.  In addition, there is sufficient funding for a complete buildout of an  Outdoor Learning Environment specifically for Infants and Toddlers.
