Child care sites will need to be selected shortly after the subgrantee is awarded (March 2017), working closely with our evaluation staff. Sites are required to remain for the full four years of the grant (March 2021). Since Shape NC is largely a research project with the goal of establishing higher level evidence, this will mean collecting evidence over time to deepen community impact toward improved health outcomes and meet measurable goals (increase the # of health and nutrition practices implemented in child care sites, % of children at a healthy weight, and targeting physical and social=emotional development)
